A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later released.
Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
