Ex- Physician Charged with Sexual Assault Allegations Involving Thirty-Eight Patients
Legal authorities report that a ex- physician stands accused of performing assaults against 38 individuals who were under his care.
Details of the Serious Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of sexual offences – comprising some against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
One senior prosecutor said, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to support a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the evidence to establish that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Investigation
The charges follow what investigators described as a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is due to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

The charging documents outline the 45 sexual offences he is charged with:
- 15 counts of assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
