Star Rejects Anti-Vaccine Position After Voicing Controversial Covid Feature

The acclaimed actor has lent his vocal talents to a recent film that casts doubt on the legitimacy of vaccines and commends one-time health official Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Documentary's Contentious Foundation

Called "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is based on a well-known publication published by a disgraced researcher, who became famous during the global outbreak for assertions that Covid was a result of a faulty batch of the seasonal immunization.

The publication's writing partner, a producer, has previously authored books with controversial media personality the Infowars host. The producer recently posted celebrating Neeson's involvement in the project.

A Strong Rebuttal

Representatives for Liam Neeson have issued a comment strongly denying claims that he subscribes to anti-vaccine beliefs.

"Many acknowledge that misconduct may occur within the medical sector, but that must not be confused with opposition to vaccines," the statement states. "Neeson has never been, and cannot be described as, anti-vaccination. His considerable work with the global charity reinforces his consistent support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

The response noted that the performer was not involved in crafting the film's messaging and that questions about its claims are best addressed to the creators.

Key Assertions Featured in the Feature

In the film, the script spoken by Neeson features several controversial statements:

  • It suggests that pro-immunization voices have called for "complete compliance" to health authorities.
  • It declares that "research has become highly influenced by politics."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is interviewed claiming, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they simply are not adequately tested."
  • The narration also criticizes stay-at-home orders, saying they caused severe distress that cost thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of the immunizations, it mentions a perspective that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "risky trials."

Previous Background and Recent Disputes

The documentary includes a 2004 BBC documentary about HIV drug testing on children, which was later the subject of a formal apology by the corporation for unbalanced reporting.

In recent weeks, RFK Jr directed the Centers for Disease Control to revise its longstanding position that there is no causal relationship between vaccines and autism. This claim is repeated in the film, contrary to a new report from the World Health Organisation stating no evidence has been found.

A Past Statement of Support

Standing in contrast to the documentary's message, Neeson has in the past shown firm endorsement for vaccines in his capacity as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

In 2022, he called vaccines as "an incredible human success story," adding that "The debate about vaccines in lately has lost sight of how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in history."

The film finishes with Neeson's script proclaiming, "This marks not the finish of our story. It is the beginning of a fresh chapter."
