The Streaming Giant Selects Perfect Performer for Bon Clay in One Piece Season 3
The Secret Organization is poised to exert significant influence in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, though the major clash isn’t set to occur until the third season, and a beloved, popular member has now been chosen.
The platform declared recently that Cole Escola has joined the One Piece cast for the third season and will portray Bon Clay. The role possesses the power to transform into an exact copy of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. Escola, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will play a interpretation of that figure reinterpreted as non-binary identifying, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, as in the initial comic and cartoon version.
Escola joins several other new cast members set to bring the group to life, such as chief Mr. 0, brought to life by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.
Though Bon Clay is a major member of Baroque Works, the character won’t appear until One Piece the upcoming installment. Given season 2 expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this signals a major departure in the placement of their first appearance, one that could suggest additional alterations to the story’s structure.
Their mix of excellent comedic sense and emotional depth makes them a standout choice for the role. Besides their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and numerous honors for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, emphasizing the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece show is set to return for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
