The Alan Turing Institute will execute a scientific research initiative specifically developed to safeguard Britain from malicious attacks, according to a latest statement.
This fresh focus follows organizational reforms at the publicly-funded organization, including the departure of its previous CEO last month after both workforce dissatisfaction and ministerial calls for strategic overhaul.
Growing Cybersecurity Concerns
The fresh initiative comes amid rising apprehension about the UK's exposure to internet outages and online threats.
Recent incidents have highlighted these vulnerabilities, including a widespread failure affecting international online platforms and latest online threats that disrupted production at significant plants and distribution networks across several organizations.
Management and Supervision
A previous senior officer of the the nation's space operations center will report back next month on how the government-funded institute can best support the scale of government AI ambitions in national security, national security and intelligence.
Organizational Refocusing
The center's head, a ex-Amazon UK executive, confirmed that 78 different research projects at the center employing hundreds have been terminated, spun out or finished because they aren't consistent with the revised strategy.

In the health sector, the priority will be on developing virtual replicas of human hearts, representing a leading edge of individualized AI-powered treatment that could better therapeutic procedures and treatment results for critically ill cardiac patients.
